The TKB Single Paddle Wall Switch - Gen5 wall switch can switch attached loads and is controlled either by the local switching paddle or remotely via the Z-Wave Plus wireless protocol. It can be included and controlled in a Z-Wave network by a remote control or Z-Wave controller including PC-software.
Beside the local load the unit can control other Z-Wave units remotely in up to three additional Z-Wave groups, which are associated with this device. The association of further Z-Wave devices is done by a Z-Wave controller. The unit is powered by 230 V power and needs a pattress box or back box with 230 V power wires for installation.
The group 1 and group 2 allow dimming and brightening of Z-Wave dimmers if associated.
Note: The switch has been designed to hold up to a maximum load of 6 Amps (1380 watts) and works with a 3-Wire system. Please check your installation before purchasing. Further information about 2-wire and 3-wire installations is available in Wiki - Understanding 2-wire and 3-wire Lighting Systems.
